I am currently attending UCO in Edmond, Oklahoma, in pursuit of a double Bachelor’s in professional media and criminal justice. Completed professional courses include the following: Introduction to Mass Media, Introduction to Criminal Justice, and Criminal Justice Writing.
The Tech Academy—Software Development Certificate—2023
I completed a certificate program that focused on training in software and web development, both front-end and back-end technologies. Through this intensive, hands-on course, I gained experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL, Python, Django, C#, and more. The program included two project-focused internships that allowed me to work on a collaborative team who contributed to an existing codebase for web development projects.
Paul Mitchell Partner School—Cosmetology Certificate—2012
I completed the full 1500 required hours of cosmetology practical and theoretical coursework that focused on hair, makeup, skincare, nails, and hair removal. During my time at Paul Mitchell, I participated in the Take Home Team (retail focus) and Student Council. Part of my duties in the Student Council was to write the school newsletter every month. Graduated with honors.
Northwest State Community College—AAS in Computer Programming—2000
The primary programming languages I studied during my time here was Basic, Pascal, and C/C++. I also gained some experience with computer software, computer hardware, and networking/security. Graduated with honors after two years of study.
Moore High School—Diploma—1993
During my time in high school, I worked on the school’s newspaper staff for two years. This was where I first experienced interviewing subjects for newspaper articles focused on current events taking place at the school. I also assisted the layout editor with generating catchy headlines for articles.
